Why you should care about AOM-Analyzer Tool ​!

Hi Folks,
It’s been a while I have written a blog, this is the right time I guess. So lately I am trying to do a kind of research with video encoding in power constrained devices as part of my undergrad thesis project. So I was going into more details about encoders in general. After that, I have also gone through the details about HEVC, AV1 and all.
We all know about very positive development advances in AV1 when we see with HEVC. So if you are not following anything in this digital video field, AV1 is next generation and new standard after HEVC.It could have like 40% better picture quality than HEVCcross-platform but as_of_now the main issue or the main disadvantage of av1 is the fact that it is very compute intensive, for solving this issue the much required thing would be having a nice software which does a full analysis of the video including the metadata.

Now there is a tool called AOM-Analyser which is there for a while

As expected, Microsoft’s list of upgrade eligible devices is pretty short for now. Many of the older Lumia phones with less than 1GB of RAM are not included in the list.

You can download the Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app from the Windows Store to check if your phone gets Windows 10 Mobile. The list doesn’t include some devices that were able to run Windows 10 Mobile in the Windows 10 Mobile Insider program.

Confirmed! Google’s LG Nexus 5X, Huawei Nexus 6P to be launched in India on October 13

Flipkart is now teasing the users that the new nexus line nexus 6P and nexus 5X from Huawei and LG respectively  .

According to the information available on Google Play Store, Nexus 5X will be priced at Rs 31,900 (for 16 GB variant) and Rs 35,900 (32 GB), while Nexus 6P will be available at Rs 39,999 (32 GB) and Rs 42,999 (64 GB) in India.

The Nexus 5X features a 5.2-inch screen, 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM, 12.3 MP rear and 5MP front camera and a 2,700 mAh battery.

The Nexus 6P features a 5.7-inch screen, 1.8 GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB RAM, 12.3 MP rear and 8MP front camera and a 3,450 mAh battery. Both the devices feature fingerprint sensors and fast charging (with USB Type-C port).
